A little about me

I have worked for nearly 30 years in the fitness industry in the Leeds area. I have many years of experience working with people with heart disease, orthopedic problems, arthritis, sports injuries and much more. I have lectured on Anatomy & Physiology, Exercise Prescription and Sports Injuries at Leeds University, Bradford College and Prince Henry’s Grammar School. I am a tutor and assessor for the British Association of Cardiac Rehabilitation, which trains instructors to work in cardiac rehabilitation.

I have been a competitive athlete for nearly 30 years including road and cross country running, triathlon and mountain biking.  In the last 2 years I have concentrated on cycling sportives on road, off road and mixed terrain events.

Qualifications held are:

  • BSc. Degree in Health Related Exercise & Fitness with 1st Class Honors
  • NVQ L3 Personal Training Diploma
  • NVQ L3 Sports Massage Diploma
  • BACPR Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
